Privacy Policy
Last updated 5 August 2026
Mavpa is made by Mavpa, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the Mavpa iOS application (the “App”).
The short version: we do not collect anything. Mavpa has no server, no user accounts and no analytics. We have no technical ability to see what you keep in the App.
What we collect
Nothing. We operate no backend service. The App does not transmit your content, your usage, your device identifiers or any personal information to us or to any third-party analytics provider.
Where your data lives
Everything you save — kept pages, crops, topics and comments — is written to a folder in your own iCloud Drive, inside a container belonging to your Apple ID. It syncs between your devices through Apple’s iCloud service under your Apple account, governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We have no access to that folder.
The files are ordinary JSON and Markdown. You can open, edit, back up or delete them yourself in Files on iOS or Finder on macOS, with or without the App installed. Deleting the App does not delete the folder.
Web pages you open
When you view or crop a page, the App loads that page directly from the website in question, in an embedded web view. Your request goes to that website, not through us. Those sites may set their own cookies and will see your IP address and user agent exactly as they would in Safari. Their own privacy policies apply to that visit. We do not inject any code into the pages you view.
Photos and media
If you attach an image or video to a comment, the App asks for permission to access your photo library. The file you choose is copied into your own iCloud folder. It is not uploaded to us. Permission is requested only at the moment you attach something, and you can revoke it in iOS Settings.
Link previews
When you save a link, the App fetches that page once to read its title, description and preview image, so your feed shows something meaningful. This request goes directly from your device to that website.
Children
Mavpa is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone — including children — because we collect no information at all.
Changes to this policy
If the App ever gains a feature that involves collecting data, this policy will be updated before that feature ships, and the change will be noted here with a new date.
